The influence of our mind on our genes has been illustrated many times over. Epigenetic research shows us now in detail that we are not governed by the genes we were born with. At the contrary, our genes are controlled by the chemistry in our blood, that itself is produced according to our environment. And this for more than 90%!

Consequently, science has overturned the belief that made our genetic inherited condition a fatality. Therefore re-empowering man through the awareness that our health depends on our internal and external environment. And we do have a major influence over that.

Our external environment includes the food that we eat, the liquids that we drink, our physical activity, our exposure to UV, our exposure to chemicals and so on. However, the main internal Environment Chief Officer turns out to be our brain. So who’s the CEO? The mind!

Our brain continuously generates neurotransmitters, hormones and other neurosecretions according to our mind’s perception of the world, through our beliefs, emotions and consequently, our state of being. All of these chemical messengers then flow into our blood stream where they are received and treated by our cells. This shows to be able to lead to direct modifications of the gene expression.

In other words, depending on the nature of the biochemistry we produce, that is related to our state of mind, we can influence our body in a good, or in a bad way.

Good reads:

I highly recommend reading the work of Bruce Lipton, Dawson Church or Candace Pert on the subject.

Here’s a great article where Bruce Lipton, PhD, takes us on a clear and comprehensible tour of the subject. Bruce Lipton, PhD – The jump from cell culture to consciousness

A very interesting French article including various resources on the subject The genie in your genes
